Dr. Brown’s

This post is in partnership with Dr. Brown’s a brand I love!

Just 10 weeks into raising my twins and I have been latching on to anything and everything from Dr. Brown’s.  Then again I shouldn’t have been surprised seeing how the brand was started by a doctor.  They have seriously thought of everything and specifically appealing to me is their attention to anti colic products.  After a few weeks of tying their anti colic bottles I started trying more and more of their products so I want to share my thoughts on the company, the bottles, and a few of their accessories.

With Regan having colic the constant cries are exhausting so having a feeding bottle that doesn’t make it worse is crucial.  Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow baby bottles have an internal vent system that is clinically proven to reduce colic and helps to reduce spit-up, burping and gas by eliminating air bubbles.  When you look into the bottle there is a green insert and reservoir which prevents air from coming in contact with the liquid.  Less air in the girls belly means less burps and uncomfortableness for them. The bottle also come in both glass and plastic so depending on which you prefer they have one that suits you.  Both are BPA-free which apparently many other bottle are not.

For the times we use a ready mix formula, we turn to the Dr. Brown’s milk spa to warm the bottles.  The Dr Browns milk spa provides an even and consistent warming and the girls love it. It also works great for warming stored breast milk because it don’t lose nutrients when it heats up the milk. It has an auto shut-off and timer function so you can also customize the time to your liking. I just learned that it can warm all kinds of stuff beyond just a bottle.  So far I found that they can be used for baby food jars, and pouches so we will be keeping the spa around for awhile as the girls continue to grow making it a lasting investment.

If you are like me I naively thought a pacifier was just a pacifier.  That was until I started doing some research and turns out there’s a lot to them.  Dr. Brown has a few different types but the girls have gravitated toward the advantage and the silicone ones.  Both are great but what I like most are the lovey pacifier holders.  I mean how cute are these things!  They also make it really easy to find when you need one like…NOW.  Their textures and vibrant colors also keep the girls attention providing additional calming value.

Reece and Regan are little animals when it comes to feeding time and bibs are a must.  Dr. Brown’s snap on bandana bibs are really light weight but somehow manage to absorb all the formula while keeping them dry at the same time.  See the front is a super absorbent cotton and the back side is fleece that keeps them dry.  They come in a ton of super cute prints so I can always match their outfits.

Overall I have been really impressed with every product I’ve tried from Dr. Brown’s.  You can really appreciate the fact that they have spent a lot of effort designing every detail of even the simplest things like a pacifier and have won numerous awards of which the most impressive being the #1 selling bottle in the USA and many best of baby awards. If you don’t already have them in your home you are missing out!
